Because we can play bowls all year round, there are competitions throughout the year and even when the heat and humidity are high in the months of July and August, we still play, but during those months, the competitions are in the evenings when it is starting to cool down. Both greens are floodlit so if poor light is a problem, we sling a euro in the meter.

We split the competition season into two, winter and summer. The winter season starts in January and the summer starts with “Opening Day” at the end of August/beginning of September.

27th September 2009 - President's Trophy

6 October 2009 - Chauvenist Cup - Ladies V's Gents, 11 players per team. players are selected to play for this illustrious contest.

11 October 2009 - Aliathon Open Triples Day (entry fee payable per team - cash prizes for winners)

Friday 4 and Sunday 6 December 2009 - Finals Weekend

2010

9 January 2010 - Blevins Franks Bowl (Winter Triples League)

7 Febuary 2010 - Maispa Cup (Ladies 2 Bowls) - Smart Cup (Gents 2 Bowls)

28 March 2010 - Prestige Travel and Best of Rest Plate. - drawn pairs competitions.

17 April 2010 and/or 24 April 2010 - Finals Weekend.

17 May 2010 - Closing Day Charity Match.

This is the last event of the Club year and consists of two teams, the President’s team and the “Past Presidents” team. It is a mixed competition taking place over one day. The proceeds of the day are donated to a charity chosen by the President. The format of this day depends on the number of entrants.
