26 May 2008 - Start date for Yardstick Competition.
A fun evening competition played on Mondays. Although bowlers are drawn in pairs or triples as if in a roll-up, they score as individuals. All bowls which come within 1 yard of the jack are counted and the bowler with the largest score at the end of the competition is the winner.
29 May 2008 - Start date for Pairs League
An evening competition played on Thursdays. Teams of 3 are drawn from the entrants and play in pairs, team members standing down by arrangement. The competition ends when all teams have played each other once.

2 July 2008 - Start date for Pulpit Cup.
Played on Wednesday mornings on a roll-up basis. Points are awarded to individual bowlers throughout the competition. The points are calculated by dividing the shots scored by the team which a bowler plays in on any given day by the shots scored against that team. The winner is the player with the greatest number of points at the end of the competition. The competition is sponsored by the club and the Cup was donated by Mrs Ferguson in memory of her late husband Bruce.
30 August 2008 - Opening Day.
This is the first day of the season and is a mixed competition with two teams, the President’s and the Vice President’s. The trophy is sponsored by the Club and the format is determined by the number of entrants.
6 September 2008 - Blue Cross Triples League
Start of summer Triples League. Players select their own teams of 4. The competition ends when all teams have played each other once.
The competition is sponsored by the Blue Cross Medical Centre.

Atlantic Shield
Mixed 2 bowls singles. Played to 21 shots or the end of
3 hours.

Cup of Good Hope
Mixed 4 bowls singles. Only members who have not bowled at any club other than the Aliathon and who have been a member for less than FIVE years at the start date of the competition and since joining have not won a Singles, Pairs or Triples competition(other than Leagues and Fun Days) are eligible. Played to 21 shots or the end of 3 hours. This Cup is sponsored by the Club.
