Story
The club is conveniently located in Paphos,at the Aliathon Holiday Village with a good road network providing easy access to and from all parts of the island. The Aliathon is the leading bowling club in Cyprus and has an 8 rink bowling green with an artificial surface similar to that used for indoor bowling.
We have a clubhouse with a bar in which we hold functions so, in addition to playing bowls, there are other opportunities to socialise and make new friends. We frequently play visiting clubs from the UK and elsewhere.
Being affiliated to Bowls Cyprus, our club plays matches against the other two bowling clubs in Cyprus and some of our players have represented Cyprus at National level. Don’t let that put you off though, we cater for all levels of ability. Coaching classes are available for those who haven’t played before, why not give it a try?
Our club was formed in 1995 and new members are constantly joining. We also have a reduced subscription for people who don’t live in Cyprus all the time. Because of the weather in Cyprus, bowls is a sport which can be played all year round. It doesn’t take long to pick up the basics and you could soon be enjoying a new sport and an increased social life.
